Job description

We're looking for a hands-on local manager to take on business development for SME and Enterprise business customers in the retail sector in Chile. This is a new role, so you will help to shape and develop the BD/Sales function within the business.

While the role will be hands-on initially, the plan is to build a team under you, and there will be opportunity for growth. You need to have hands-on experience in sales/business development, but we want someone who knows they can perform at a higher level and just need to be given a chance. This is your chance.

Some of the activities you will be expected to perform include:

· Market research on the sector and potential customers/users

· Lead/user sourcing through phone, email, social media, events, content creation and advertising

· Management and development of the sales funnel

· Setting, meeting and exceeding sales targets

If you're afraid of cold calling, or presenting a sales pitch to a business owner/manager, this job isn't for you. We need someone who can:

· Close a sale

· Make a successful cold call/email

· Communicate effectively through email, phone and in person

· Achieve targets

· Solve problems creatively

As part of an international business, you will need to have good English skills (interview will be in English) to communicate with other team members, but you need to be a native LatAm Spanish speaker.

You should know your way around MS Office, and be familiar with working in the cloud. While you don't need to know how to write any code, familiarity with SaaS products/business is an advantage.

We're based in Providencia between Manuel Montt and PDV stations, but there will be an expectation for you to visit potential/existing clients regularly.
