We work in teams distributed between USA and Chile to perform research and development on how to improve our analytical assets in USA, Canada, Australia, Latin America and coming soon Europe; we are looking for candidates who are passionate about software development, learning new technologies and self-disciplined to finish what they started.

Summary:

As a Application Developer Tech Lead you will be developing strategic design and requirements as a major contributor to a projects’ success for large revenue generating systems/products, Applying computer science and data science knowledge across powerful distributed systems capable of parallel computation in order to design and implement global products and platforms as well as coordinating other team members and coaching them accordingly. Our team works delivering Software solutions across different countries, so you will be really facing and exposed to all the interesting challenges that come with it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify improvements in systems and work and participates in estimation process, use case specifications, reviews of test plans and test cases, requirements, and project planning.
  • Consistently demonstrations clear technical judgement, innovation, and consideration for the projects’ objectives.
  • Able to provide technical guidance, supervise others, provide instructions, and debug code written by team members.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology.
  • Contributions of this level spans across the team and the development platform.
  • Consistently hit development time estimates without underestimating or overestimating ability.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers in developing code and workflow procedures, and conduct code reviews.
  • Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 – 4 years’ experience working as a Full-stack or Back-end developer.
  • Java experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to translate highly technical work into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Level of English: Advanced.

Education:

Bachelor’s IT degree

Desired but not required:

  • Leadership experience
  • Cloud (AWS, Google, Cloud foundation) experience is desirable
  • Python Knowledge is desirable
  • Data Base experience such as Oracle, AWS, Cassandra, Dynamo DB is desirable
