This position is under the Hyland division LawLogix. LawLogix has two main software products - Edge and Guardian. This role will be supporting Edge, which is an Immigration Case Management system used nationwide in the United States of America . Our challenge is to revamp our Edge product, which has caused a need for an additional Developer. Our products are growing, so our team is too. Hyland values teamwork and collaboration, which is important to this role. You will work closely with other Developers and Testers in our Chile office, as well as Developers and Testers in our Arizona, USA location. You will start on the maintenance side and handling defects, but will also help out with development of new features. This is an exciting time to join the growing team at Hyland!

Overview

The Developer is responsible for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing. A Developer works independently, under broad direction from experienced developers, mentors, and/or a member of the development leadership team. Developers at this level are focused on building deeper and/or broader technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Receives daily guidance from development or project leaders
  • Works under general supervision with few direct instructions
  • Grows subject matter experience in programming, product and/or platform for team
  • Responsible for maintaining departmental documentation of areas of subject matter expertise
  • May be assigned to entire or phases of projects
  • Exercises judgment to solve moderately complex problems with a limited number of variables
  • Work requires a good understanding of the theoretical and applied basis for one technology
  • Has developed experience in solution creation with increased business acumen

Qualifications

  • Typically requires BS or equivalent and 1-4 years of related experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience
  • Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Experience in Angular and/or Bootstrap
  • Solid understanding of relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams
  • Experience programming in structured languages
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Ability to follow a formal software development methodology
  • Ability to accept and adapt to changing development tasks and priorities
  • Solid understanding of object oriented concepts
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately follow directions
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
