IT Technician in PolyWorks Mexico Metrología

Currently in Mexico we develop specialized products in 3D visualization, web and mobile technologies, data science and Augmented/Mixed Reality.

• Solve daily activities related to IT support
• Handle troubleshooting relating to software, equipment, and operating systems
• Configure, maintain, monitor and update servers, PC and workstations
• Maintain and monitor LAN / WAN networks
• Ensure IT security
• Maintain audio and video systems
• Install and update software (operating systems and production software)
• Be responsible for data storage and backup
• Manage IT assets and IT related purchases
• Generate and maintain technical reports and documentation
• Manage administrative software portals and platform services
• Manage and follow up on IT providers
• Provide knowledge and support to ensure that hardware, network, and software systems are implemented and supported effectively
• Collaborate with the IT Team at Quebec Headquarter

• Hold a degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Have 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Have an intermediate to advanced English level, orally as well as in writing and must be able to engage English-based conversations without any problem
• Be experienced with troubleshooting of Windows and MacOS systems
• Possess an in-depth understanding of cyber security threats, technologies and have the ability to design and implement safety measures to ensure security of IT systems
• Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of router & firewall configurations and of virtual machine management software such as VMWARE, Hyper-V
• Be able to design strategies for optimization and cost savings of IT assets
• Have the ability to design and build data storage and backup solutions
