Talently (500 Startups W19) is an online program for tech professionals in Latam that helps them hack their way to their next remote job by developing their career, tech and English skills. We do so aligning incentives: participants only pay the program’s full fee once they succeed in getting hired.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Program Manager. The job’s goal is to guarantee the success of our Talents along with their learning and placement journey. To achieve this goal, you’ll be responsible for these and other activities:

  • Guaranteeing the smooth delivery of the program activities and Talents learning experience from the onboarding until their placement to ensure a consistent and trouble-free experience
  • Measuring and implementing improvements that directly impact the program's NPS
  • Assisting the Head of Learning in planning sessions, preparing schedules, writing valuable content and/or scripts, managing live sessions, and overseeing the management of the content in our Hub plus reviewing training material randomly to ensure quality.
  • Manage the participation of speakers and team members as part of Talently's sync and async content, coordinating with an external audiovisual team in async cases. This includes proposing, managing and coordinating with guest speakers to the program.
  • Monitoring participant performance and various program trackers to ensure the program is running well in areas of responsibility and escalate cases as needed
  • Being the first point contact for Talents, troubleshoot queries, assist them with inquiries and requirements, and manage discussions both in live sessions and through Zulip
  • Delivering and improving the onboarding experience for our Talents by conducting live sessions and asynchronous communication to get them up to speed and effectively communicate key program features
  • Document questions and frequent problems available for the talent and internal team in documentation.
  • Running community-building experiments

Qualifications and requirements

Experience and education

  • 1-2+ years of proven experience as a Program Manager, academic services, account management, or similar roles (If you have less or different experience but you're a great candidate apply anyway)
  • Excellent English communication skills (writing and speaking)

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and empathy
  • Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced and remote environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

Bonus if you

  • Have a degree in Business, Psychology, Engineering or similar
  • Have experience in the tech industry or enjoy to use it a lot to solve problems, especially no-code tools
  • Have worked in coding Bootcamps or similar experiences
  • Have teaching experience
