Front-end Developer in BuildWithin

BuildWithin is a fast-growing technology startup founded by Chilean-American tech entrepreneur Ximena Hartsock, who founded the multinational software company Phone2Action (now Capitol Canary), acquired in 2020.

BuildWithin is Ximena’s new tech startup, a SaaS company based in Washington DC, currently in stealth mode and preparing to launch in August of 2022.

You will joining a remarkable team of software developers, product owners and UX/UI designers who are passionate about building a modern workforce platform.

This job is remote and you can work from most parts of the world,

We are looking for a Front-End Software Developer. The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer with a track record of building and deploying enterprise web applications. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and want to be part of an outstanding team. Modern frontend tech stack consists of NextJS/React, TypeScript, Styled Components. We package our component library as an NPM package using Storybook, which updates all of our application.
You will be part of a sprint team based in the US (also working remotely) and a UX/UI designer who works from Chile.
Some of the desired expectations are that you:

• Work with internal teams choosing technology, deploying a solution to production, or leading and participating in day-to-day activities via our agile sprints, daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retros
• Write simple, clean, observable, maintainable code that is well tested through unit and integrated tests
• Collaborate with the UX/UI designer and the product manager to ensure that project plans, stories, and estimates are accurate and prioritized properly.
• Collaborate from Chile or anywhere else you are via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, web conferences

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university.
• Proficiency with building new products, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Delivery experience with iterative software development and/or lean product development
• Demonstrated success in Agile organizations, using Scrum methodologies
• A life-long learner. Someone who is always learning and sharing what you learn with others.
• Expertise with most of these technologies: React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Redux, GraphQL, AWS Lambda
• Understanding of relational and non-relational database paradigms
• Interest in working for technology that solves societal problems.

Proficient in NextJS/React.
Understanding of basic English. We have a bilingual team so English is not a required skill. Inglés no es un requisito.

Work schedule is flexible. We will encourage you to take vacations and we welcome that you work from just about anywhere in the world.
One of the founders is Chilean and spends 3 months in Chile every year. Travel to the US is available if desired.
This is this team second company. The first one was acquired in 2020.
