Sr. Front-end Engineer (React/ Next.JS) in Clip

We are looking for a passionate and obsessed Sr Frontend Developer who will be part of this amazing and fast-growing fintech and the team responsible for developing software and tools to support Clip’s core payment processing experience. A successful candidate needs to have experience working with technologies such as React, NextJS, Javascript, Typescript, CSS, and build automation tools (NPM).
This is a fully remote position that can be anywhere outside of Mexico. Developers from Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, Uruguay and more are all welcomed to join us!

What will I be doing

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA to iterate on the life cycle of our product.
• Challenge status quo.
• Work as part of a team developing in React or Next applications, Typescript.
• Participate in peer code reviews, we encourage frequent and open feedback.
• Coach younger developers
• Understand design patterns and write reusable, modular code.
• Contribute to team and organizational improvements in processes.
• Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem.
• Develop world changing software solutions.
• Solve complex problems by providing clean and scalable solutions.

• Strong experience working with ReactJS and NextJS.
• Strong problem-solving skills by writing maintainable code, experience using basic data structures, such as Hash Tables, Lists, Maps, Arrays, and Stacks.
• Thorough understanding of React.js & Next.js core principles, patterns, performance indicators and best practices along with React router , Redux workflows or similar (Context or xState).
• Thrive in a culture of decisions based on analytics, be able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities.
• Good written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish and be willing to continue learning and loving technology.
• Comfortable with remote working conditions. Have reliable internet connection that can have VPN + Zoom videos without problems.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  5+ years of experience with React, Next, Redux workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills by writing maintainable code [design patterns, unit testing].
• Comfortability learning new technologies.
• Comfortability with fast-changing priorities.
• General knowledge of Design and Architecture of tech products.
• Thorough understanding of React.js & Next.js core principles, patterns, performance indicators and best practices along with React router , Redux workflows or similar (Context or xState).
• Strong understanding of ES6.
• Nice to have: experience working with libraries like anime.js or three.js
