Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js + React) in Clip

Clip enables anyone to accept card payments, at any time, and anywhere by turning your smartphone or tablet into a card terminal. We're a well-funded quickly growing FinTech startup. We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to be part of this amazing and fast – growing fintech. This candidate will be part of the team responsible for software and tools to support and implement PayClip’s core payment processing infrastructure. S/He will develop and experiment programs with different technologies. This person will be willing to experiment with new technologies to reach Clip customers, the role includes in the scope becoming the experts on content usage and customer insights.

What will you do

1. Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods.
2. Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
3. Build customer-facing UI and back-end services for payment processing administration and management.
4. Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem.
5. Invent new things and create world-changing software!

• The successful candidate will have experience working with Node.js/React r, RESTful, and Agile Methodology.
• S/he should thrive in a culture of decisions based on analytics, be able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities.
• This candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish and be willing to continue learning and loving technology.
• Comfortable with remote working conditions. Have reliable internet connection that can have VPN + Zoom videos without problems.

3+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.Experience developing secure NodeJS backend services.Experience with front-end libraries such as React, Vue etc. (React preferred).Solid understanding of RESTful service architecture and APIs.Familiar with both SQL/NoSQL database technologies.Proficient with GitHub.Proficient in Linux/Unix and comfortable with Mac. Unit testing experience is a plus.
