Senior Back-end Engineer in SmartBarrel

SmartBarrel is a construction labor management solution. builds both hardware and software to help contractors better manage their workforce. Construction companies mainly interact with SmartBarrel using our dashboard. A responsive web application where a construction company can add, edit, delete manage workers, projects, timesheet and much more.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in MongoDB, Pipeline, Reports, and Data to join our growing team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, which support our core products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain our backend systems using MongoDB, Pipeline, Reports, and Data.
• Experience in AWS and server-less
• Work with the product team to identify and understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the system is scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and reports that provide insights into the health of the system and the performance of the products and services.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Continuously monitor the system and identify potential issues before they impact the users.
• Write high-quality code that is efficient, maintainable, and testable.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on MongoDB, Pipeline, Reports, and Data.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Proven experience in designing and building scalable and reliable systems.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and report generation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such Node.js.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
