Software Engineer

We are looking for a Full Stack developer to produce scalable software solutions for Wheel the World. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a Full Stack developer, you should be comfortable around both Front-end and Back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also have a knack for visual design and utility.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
Write effective APIs
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security and data protection settings
Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
Write technical documentation
Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements

Node.js development - our typical stack includes Node.js, Express /Nest.js, MongoDB / Mongoose or TypeORM / PostgreSQL
Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript
Web development experience, you should have a good knowledge of HTML and CSS
Frontend development experience using popular frameworks like React, Next.js, Gatsby, Angular, Scully
Have experience with CSS-in-JS, and modern CSS features like Grid, Flexbox and CSS custom properties
Have experience with modern tools like Webpack, Babel, Eslint, Prettier
Be familiar with cloud architecture on AWS, Google Cloud and Heroku
Experience using Docker / Docker Compose
Be familiar with the concept of pipelines for Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration and have used at least one platform like CodePipeline, CircleCI, GitLab, Github Actions, Travis CI or Heroku Pipelines
Unit testing using frameworks like Jest, Jasmine or Mocha
Basic knowledge of Linux (console)
REST API and writing API specs and documentation on Postman
GIT, Github flow, Git flow, Semrel and Code Review.
Have been part of a multidisciplinary team and have used any Agile methodologies like Kanban / Scrum
Having worked with NoSQL databases and be familiar with the different types like Key-value, Document store, Object store, etc.
