We are a fully remote and distributed company and we are lucky enough to have a diverse and multi-national team with team members in the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Venezuela.

This Backend Engineer will be joining our engineering team, working directly with our lead developers, but also collaborating with our product and design teams.

Job functions

You'll help shift the technological landscape within the company through experimentation and auditing of emerging tech stacks, while shaping the way a new technology is introduced to, and adopted by, new audiences throughout the world.

You will quickly gain proficiency when exposed to unfamiliar technical patterns, systems, or languages
You will be able to unblock individuals when they are faced with technical challenges
You will work as a strong communicator who can collaborate well with other non-technical functions (e.g. Product & Design)
You will try out new tools, fail fast, and dive into unknowns to solve new and challenging problems

Qualifications and requirements

3+ years of experience with Golang, Node and Javascript
Experience Developing DApps or interacting with blockchains
Understanding of the deployment process, and are comfortable with Docker, containers, and Kubernetes
Experience with event driven architecture, familiarity with kafka and comfort with having eventual consistency across multiple services
Strong understanding of application and API security
