Firstbase.io is hiring for a DevOps Engineer with a strong Linux and AWS background, who will help us build scalable, efficient infrastructure for our clients. Some of your main responsibilities will include: (1) implement and own the CI, (2) manage CD tooling, (3) implement and maintain monitoring and alerting, (4) build and maintain highly available production systems, and (5) lead and guide the team in identifying and implementing new technologies. Lastly, you’ll help train and guide the team in DevOps practices. You will have the following duties

Designing infrastructure solutions in Amazon AWS for a SAAS product
Automating the creation and updating of infrastructure through code
Building and managing production level monitoring leveraging dashboards, alarms, and logs
Creating and updating code for continuous integration and delivery from software version control repositories implemented through tools such as Jenkins
Contributing efforts to ensure availability, performance, and scalability for infrastructure operations and management
Owning the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
Being self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented

You should meet the following requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Business Information Systems, or equivalent experience
5 + years of experience in a technical role
2 + years of experience in Amazon AWS

Nice to have

Experience writing SQL queries a plus Amazon AWS Cloud certification is a plus
