This DevOps Engineer will be joining a successful FinTech's DevOps team, working directly with Sr. Engineers and department leads.

Job functions

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. You will be responsible for building new deployment automation, providing guidance on cloud computing best practices and implementing integrations that meet customers' needs. Responsibilities also include:

  • Enable Development and Operations to build and deploy our client's applications from code to development and production environments.
  • Responsible for bringing new automation technologies to bear and improving the quality of engineering efforts.
  • Own and drive improvements to their build and release scripts, tools and processes
  • Build tools to help the business move faster
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure in a software as a service environment
  • Work alongside the engineering team

Qualifications and requirements

  • 3 - 4+ years of DevOps experience
  • Familiarity with working on Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.
  • Ability to work with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Salt or Puppet
  • Deep experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud computing best practices
  • Hands-on experience working in a Kubernetes environment

Desirable skills

  • AWS certification in Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Developer
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as ELK, CloudWatch, Prometheus
  • Understanding of databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of delivery technologies, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • Previous success working in a SaaS environment
  • Java development experience
