Core Responsibilities

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your primary responsibility will be to build and nurture the sales pipeline through targeted outbound and inbound lead generation focused on B2B partnerships.
  • Own the entire top-of-funnel process by sourcing, qualifying, and nurturing leads primarily within wellness-forward businesses such as dispensaries, spas, and retail boutiques.
  • Design and execute outreach campaigns utilizing email, phone (OpenPhone), and LinkedIn to engage prospects effectively.
  • Maintain and optimize outreach sequences and cadences, ensuring accuracy of lead data and CRM hygiene across HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Analyze lead quality and sales activities to continuously improve outreach effectiveness with data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate the booking of qualified meetings and seamlessly hand these off to senior sales team members, including the founder or designated closers.
This role requires exceptional communication, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple touchpoints across diverse channels while aligning with the brandโ€™s aesthetic and voice.

Required Skills and Experience

We seek candidates with a minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR), preferably within consumer wellness, CBD, lifestyle, or retail sectors. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, comfortable navigating CRMs like HubSpot and Salesforce, and adept at multi-channel outreach through tools like OpenPhone, Google Sheets, and Slack.
Strong proficiency in English with a neutral accent is essential as well as excellent written communication skills, capable of crafting warm, personalized, and brand-consistent outreach messages.
We value candidates who present themselves as polished and professional, reflecting the design-conscious and wellness-oriented image of the client brand. You must be able to work independently in a fast-growing environment, demonstrate attention to detail especially in CRM management, and possess a proactive mindset towards continuous learning and improvement.
Soft skills such as empathy, resilience, excellent time management, and the ability to build solid relationships with prospective clients are key to success in this position.

Desirable Qualifications and Attributes

Experience working within premium cannabis or beauty wellness brands is highly advantageous, providing familiarity with industry trends and customer profiles.
Prior exposure to startup environments or high-growth companies will help in adapting quickly to a dynamic work pace and evolving sales strategies.
Additional knowledge of wholesale distribution channels and retail partnerships would further strengthen your candidacy.
Comfort with data analysis and sales performance metrics, including experience using CRM reports to refine outreach approaches, is also desirable.
