The project involves developing and integrating an AI agent capable of accessing SharePoint document repositories, tracking document version changes, and providing summarized comparative analyses within a user-friendly interface.

Role and Responsibilities

As an AI Engineer on this project, you will be responsible for designing, building, and integrating an AI agent that connects with a SharePoint site containing FDA documents. Your core task will be to develop functionality that analyzes all versions of stored documents and generates clear, tabular summaries of changes across versions.
You will collaborate closely with the development team responsible for the Word plug-in used by Acumen, ensuring seamless integration of the AI functionality within the existing tool.
The role demands thorough understanding of Microsoft Copilot Studio capabilities, development of AI-based summarization models or solutions, and strong software integration skills to embed the AI agent effectively in the Word environment.
Additional responsibilities include testing the integration, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance for end-user efficiency. Continuous communication with stakeholders and team members to align technical solutions with business needs is essential.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for an AI engineer or developer with practical experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio, preferably with prior work integrating AI agents into Microsoft Word plug-ins or Office 365 environments.
Key technical requirements include:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio and its integration frameworks.
  • Strong experience working with SharePoint APIs to retrieve and analyze document versions.
  • Experience in natural language processing (NLP) techniques to summarize and compare document changes.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript, especially in the context of Microsoft 365 add-ins.
  • Understanding of Office Add-in development and deployment.
Soft skills required:
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, multicultural team.
  • Good communication skills to translate complex technical information into clear summaries.
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
