We are seeking a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL to join Numonic as we scale a developer-first transactional email platform. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-directed, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments. You will own critical backend components, contribute to system reliability, and help shape the technical direction as we enhance deliverability, analytics, and domain management capabilities.
Required proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, familiarity with AWS SES/SNS/SQS, and a solid grasp of event-driven design. You should be comfortable with backend testing, error handling, and building scalable services. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential in our remote, startup culture.
Experience with Supabase or Prisma for data access layers, Redis for caching and fast data structures, and prior work with transactional email or deliverability systems. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, performance tuning, and experience contributing to platform-level architecture is a plus.
Contract: 20–30 hours per week. Location: Remote (LATAM / Argentina preferred). Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.
