Hello from Floorspace! We’re a small, remote team making beautiful, user-friendly websites for vacation rentals. We recently launched a new custom WordPress theme and hosting service (via InstaWP). Now we’re focused on improving our user experience, adding new features, and scaling to hundreds of users.

What You'll Do

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our development process, and build beautiful, fast, modern websites and incredible user experiences.

Build and maintain our custom WordPress theme, with a library of Gutenberg blocks, Customizer options, and other features.
Customize and extend the WP Admin dashboard and WordPress plugins (like WP Forms API and others).
Build Rest API integrations with our direct booking platforms and other partners.
Manage InstaWP WaaS hosting, to ensure we maintain reliable, updated websites for our users as we scale.

Required Skills & Experience

Custom WordPress development: Comfortable building and maintaining custom themes, Gutenberg blocks, and plugin functionality.
Git and version control: Able to manage branches, review changes, and keep the codebase organized.
REST API experience: Capable of integrating external APIs and structuring data cleanly.
Independent problem-solving: Able to take features from idea to completion, make implementation decisions, and communicate progress clearly.
