Calisto LLC is building Calisto Pro, a comprehensive software platform for the luxury vacation rental management industry, with a strong focus on delivering premium experiences across the Americas. Our product suite—Core (CRM), Sync (channel manager), Work (field operations), Assure (quality control), Navigator (guest experience), Concierge (after-hours support), Stays (direct booking marketplace), and Casas (real estate marketplace)—empowers property managers, owners, and hospitality teams to operate efficiently at scale. As we expand our technical operations to Santiago, you will join a high-impact team reporting directly to the CEO, steering architectural decisions, API integrations, and platform modernization to support rapid growth in a luxury segment. This role is designed for a hands-on leader who can own the product technically, mentor teammates, and drive delivery with autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technology direction across all Calisto Pro products (Work, Sync, Core, Navigator, Assure), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Make architectural decisions for the Microsoft Power Platform stack (Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages) and guide related implementations.
  • Design and optimize integrations with channel managers (e.g., Channex, Guesty, Hostaway) and manage API and webhook architectures for robust data flows.
  • Handle complex customer escalations with technical acumen and communicate clear remediation plans.
  • Provide technical support during sales presentations and live demos to accelerate business development.
  • Configure CRM systems, build automated dashboards, and set up marketing automation to enable data-driven growth.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation and train customers on advanced features.
  • Mentor engineers, build an internal technical vision, and lay the foundations for a high-performing engineering organization, with a clear path to VP of Engineering as the team scales.

Role Overview

  • You will be Calisto's first Technical Lead in Santiago and the primary technical decision-maker for the entire platform, owning architecture, leading development efforts, and shaping the roadmap in collaboration with the CEO and cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership in building and scaling software products.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) to deliver premium, multi-tenant SaaS experiences.
  • Proven ability to design and implement API integrations and webhook architectures for complex data flows.
  • Experience with Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, or equivalent cloud infrastructure).
  • Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and data modeling (SQL, Dataverse, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) and professional-level Spanish to collaborate across international teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to blend hands-on coding, system design, and strategic leadership in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, customers, and leadership, while mentoring engineers and building an internal technical vision.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the drive to lay the foundations for a high-performing engineering organization, with a clear path to VP of Engineering as the team scales.

Desirable Experience and Traits

  • Experience in property management or hospitality tech is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with channel managers (Guesty, Hostaway, Channex) and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Frontend development experience (React, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with UI teams.
  • Startup experience and comfort with fast-paced, ambiguity-filled environments.
  • Strong written and spoken English with professional Spanish proficiency.
