This is a full-time position (contract)

Job Description:

We are looking for Technical Writers to author detailed, complex technical information regarding operation characteristics, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Writing at this level requires extensive investigation and may include hands-on product familiarity. The Technical writer will work with engineering teams, but may also be required to develop information from other product teams. Serves as the contact with other functional areas, including product safety, legal, compliance, and engineering to ensure functional standards are incorporated and utilized appropriately.

Qualifications and requirements

As the Technical Writer, you will have following key attributes for the role:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated track record of creating process diagrams, tutorials, procedures, and knowledge-based content
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage diverse priorities well
  • Experience creating diagrams and infographics to communicate workflow processes and abstract topics more clearly
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex processes
  • A proactive and open-minded attitude for resolving problems and delivering results
  • Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a technical writer or in a related role
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment
  • Ability to recognize their own knowledge or experience limitations and reach out for guidance
  • Great communication skills with the ability to articulate thoughts/ideas clearly, collaborate with team members in various roles
  • Confident in leading meetings and presenting to teams
  • Ability to understand complex systems, prioritize tasks, and escalated issues if needed
  • Experience with source control systems and workflow tools: Git, JIRA/Confluence
  • Understands foundational IT and cloud technologies
  • Prior experience working within IT Development, SaaS, or web-based technology environment
