• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, and Microservices architectures.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-native services deployed on GCP and AWS.
• Work with JavaScript frameworks for backend development where appropriate, ensuring consistent interface design and robust APIs.
• Design, implement, and maintain containerized applications, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing (JUnit) and adherence to CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Maven).
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues using logs, profiling tools, and performance dashboards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, from design to production support.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Senior Java Engineer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications on cloud platforms, notably GCP (and/or AWS).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with relational databases and data access patterns (Spring Data JPA, SQL).
• Familiarity with modern frontend/backend integration and JavaScript frameworks used for backend services where applicable.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork abilities; ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with cloud-native design patterns, event-driven architectures, and data streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and security best practices in AWS/GCP.
• Exposure to other JVM languages (e.g., Kotlin) and modern development tools (Gradle, Flyway, etc.).
• Distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring experience (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Prior leadership or mentorship experience within engineering teams; ability to guide technical decisions and foster best practices.
