Job Details:

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and evolve scalable, high-performance data systems in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and beyond. This is a strategic technical role responsible for defining architecture and guiding engineering across our entire data platform—from ingestion to analytics.

We work closely with data engineering, software development, product, and business teams to ensure our data architecture supports current and future business needs and build an AI-first engineering process for rapidly building new products. If you’re passionate about designing cloud-native, reliable, and governed data ecosystems that fuel critical insights, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve robust, scalable architectures for data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores in cloud environments, especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Pentaho, PL/SQL, and Bash scripting.
  • Architect and implement parallel processing workflows to support high-volume ingestion and transformation of structured and unstructured data.
  • Deliver AI-driven data insights and leverage AI tools to increase the rate of delivery for engineering projects.
  • Ensure data quality and governance across the entire pipeline lifecycle, including validation, auditing, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical data architecture solutions.
  • Lead and mentor data engineers and cross-functional teams in best practices for data modeling, pipeline design, and cloud infrastructure optimization.
  • Establish data standards, policies, and frameworks to ensure data security, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability across diverse data domains.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Expertise: 7+ years in data architecture or senior-level data engineering roles, with strong experience in OCI and enterprise-scale data systems. Proven experience leveraging AI to rapidly deliver architectures, data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Hands-On Technical Skill: Deep knowledge of PL/SQL, Bash scripting, parallel data processing, AI/ML modeling, and performance optimization in a cloud environment.
  • Cloud-Native Thinking: Strong experience designing scalable systems and cloud-first data platforms (OCI preferred; AWS/Azure also relevant).
  • Pipeline Mastery: Skilled in building and maintaining modern ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time data flows, and orchestration with Apache Airflow or similar.
  • Governance & Validation: Strong grasp of data quality, data validation, metadata management, and governance best practices.
  • Tool Agnostic: Comfortable working with multiple tools, platforms, and formats—CSV, JSON, APIs, Pentaho, Oracle or other relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.
  • Business Alignment: Ability to understand the needs of business and analytics teams and deliver high-performing data architectures to meet those needs.
  • Team Leader: Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills; experience leading cross-functional efforts and mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain, analytics platforms, and/or large-scale data domains.
  • Background in designing self-service data platforms and data product models.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to data platforms.

Benefits:

  • A fully remote position with a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation per year.
  • 10 paid days for local holidays.

*Please note we are only looking for full-time dedicated team members who are eager to fully integrate within our team.
