Senior Data Engineer in OAK'S LAB

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our passionate team. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture, utilizing the latest data technologies to solve complex problems in investment finance. Your work will enable our clients to access mission-critical data and analytics to make impactful decisions in global capital markets.

• Exploring and loading a variety of data sets from market data sources.
• Transforming, reconciling, and integrating source data into easily consumable data products for our clients.
• Contributing to the development of a scalable data architecture that supports large data volumes and various access mechanisms.
• Designing and implementing new data systems and infrastructure.
• Advancing sound data engineering practices to automate processing, testing, and quality checks.

• English proficiency at C1 or C2 level.
• A higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and relational databases; experience with SnowSQL is a plus but not essential
• Experience using scripting languages like Python and shell scripting for common data processing tasks.
• Analytical skills to understand complex requirements, process large volumes of information, and design innovative solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Willingness to work in a US time zone.

• Experience with Snowflake and Kubernetes is desirable.
• Experience with DBT and ARGO is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial market data, including fundamentals, pricing, and corporate actions is an advantage
• Some analytics and AI experience is beneficial
