Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our company on a part-time basis (12 hours per week) to maintain our existing product and tackle backlogged issues. This role is perfect for a seasoned developer looking for flexible work arrangements while contributing to product stability and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support existing full stack applications built with Node.js and JavaScript.
  • Manage and maintain Angular-based admin dashboards and management interfaces.
  • Support Unity-based application backend systems and integrations.
  • Fix bugs and resolve issues across the technology stack.
  • Make incremental improvements to enhance product functionality and user experience.
  • Manage and troubleshoot AWS services, particularly AWS Cognito for user authentication.
  • Address backlogged tickets including bug fixes, minor feature requests, and technical debt.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with the team to prioritize maintenance tasks and improvements.
  • Communicate effectively through project management tools (Trello) - responding to requests and asking clarifying questions.
  • Document fixes and changes for future reference.
  • Participate in weekly virtual team meetings to discuss progress and upcoming priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with Angular for dashboard and admin interface management.
  • Familiarity with Unity applications and backend integrations (Unity experience not required).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically: AWS Cognito (user authentication, user pools, identity pools); and additional AWS services knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience with SQL databases for data management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Git version control and GitHub for code collaboration.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for resolving production issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with project management tools (Trello preferred).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of additional AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
  • Experience with production support and incident response.
  • Familiarity with legacy system maintenance and improvement.
  • Understanding of modern development practices and code quality standards.

Work Arrangement:
