We're looking for a Web Designer to join our Design Team.
You will interact and help all our merchants daily and also with our development team, in both offices, pushing forward the envelope on everything related to the UX and aesthetics of our service.

Job functions

You will

  • Gather requirements from key Jumpseller clients or internally from our support/marketing teams;
  • Turn Mockups in HTML, CSS and Javascript code;
  • Update landing pages and email templates based on research to increase engagement;
  • Integrate the code into the Jumpseller platform, producing ready-to-use e-commerce themes or software features;
  • Troubleshoot merchants' problems, by directly fixing (or extending) our current Themes or working with our Development Team on more complex issues;
  • Take responsibility and ownership of your work.

Your workday

Some of the projects and activities that we have been working on recently give you a sense of what you’ll be doing day-to-day.

  • Receive Adobe XD/Figma Mockups for a new Shipment List UI - which will give an overview to a merchant of all his delivery status - and help the implementation with the development team;
  • Work with the marketing team to create visually appealing landing pages, email campaigns and videos.
  • Interact directly via email with merchants helping them improve the UI of their stores' front-end and troubleshooting any UI bug they might find;
  • Help with the collaborative launch of a new Public Theme, for all merchants;
  • Work together with developers on the new UI of our Visual Theme Editor, which will allow drag&drop capabilities to our Themes;
  • Revamp an existing Jumpseller Theme to accommodate new features or improve the layout.

Qualifications and requirements

You are

  • Attentive to details, producing pixel-perfect work;
  • Proven professional experience in the design and implementation of UIs;
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS. Bootstrap or similar frameworks are a plus;
  • Interest in optimizing designs for UX - either desktop or mobile;
  • Strong, clean visual design sense.
  • Experienced in creating illustrations is a plus.

Desirable skills

  • Experience in Templating markup languages like Liquid is a strong plus;
  • A team player, excellent in communication, who can easily adapt to a rapidly changing environment;
  • Conversational English to attend meetings. Day-to-day is mostly in Spanish;
  • A bachelor's/master's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design or Informatics is optional.
  • Interest or experience in e-commerce platforms.
  • Javascript / jQuery / React knowledge is a plus;
