At TourismTiger, we build effective websites for tour & activity companies all around the world. We're a company that works in smaller teams with several clients at a time. We are looking for a graphic-design-with-an-interest-in-marketing intern to join our design team to support our marketing team in design-related tasks. Please bear in mind this is an internship.

Functions & Responsibilities

  • Be the link between our Marketing and Design departments.
  • Contribute to the Marketing department with a design perspective.
  • Take provided marketing ideas and written content and then create design elements and graphic pieces. This could be for marketing campaigns and strategies for our social media, email marketing, as well as our website/blog.
  • Consolidate and maintain consistency of the company’s brand across our different platforms, channels, and resources.
Design and Strategy
  • Create and export graphic pieces for our social media accounts using our own templates and branded kit.
  • Propose and design new graphic pieces for our social media accounts to complete our rebrand transition.
  • Plan, design, and export different graphic pieces and resources for cross-platform marketing campaigns.
  • Generate graphics and update them on different sections of our website.
  • Update and set up our email newsletters under our Marketing manager’s direction (who will also provide the written components). This includes enhancing the existing setup, any additional visual planning or design elements, in order to ensure a visually attractive, strategic, and standardized look for all of our company emails.
  • Update internal and external company documents to reflect our newest rebrand.
  • Assist our design team on regular tasks such as resizing, compressing, and uploading photos, small photo editing jobs, adding new pages to our website using our own theme WordPress-based platform, etc.
Miscellaneous
  • Assist marketing with certain website-related tasks such as updating specific pages and scheduling blog posts.
  • Help organize our online document filing system.

Requirements

Technical
  • Design student or enthusiast with intermediate to advanced skills on design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Have a good level of English (verbal and written) to be able to properly communicate within the team and with customers where needed. You will not be expected to write content but need to understand the material provided to you.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and online marketing is beneficial. Not necessary, though a plus.
  • Must provide your own laptop.

  • Productive – ie. have a clear understanding of goals you are meant to accomplish, develop a plan to be able to achieve this, and be able to work to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
  • A shared belief that branding is a powerful tool for a company’s presence as well as a fundamental area of marketing. Understands the value and importance of brand consistency.
  • Interest in learning new design skills with emphasis on web design and marketing, such as email coding, prototyping design software, web design, strategy, etc.
  • Take initiative! You'll be able to contribute your ideas and opinion to the marketing strategies from a design perspective. It’s crucial that you’re able to come up with ideas and brainstorm with our team in order to find creative solutions for our company and departmental goals.

Logistical Benefits

  • 3-month internship contract in Santiago, Chile.
  • Minimum 17.5 hours to maximum 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Open to discussion upon availability. Compensation will adjust accordingly.
  • Primarily in-office working, with the possibility of remote working when needed.
  • Our office is located in Providencia, right between Los Leones and Pedro de Valdivia subway stations.
  • We like to celebrate victories, have pub quizzes and an occasional visit to the bar!
  • Local travel and sustenance expenses will be covered (transporte y colación allowance).
