Job functions

The Role

This is a promoter/educator role. As a Product Marketing Specialist, you’ll help marketing/sales teams define the go-to-market strategy for new product launches and product positioning to create differentiation. While you will be reporting to the CMO, you will work closely with product, sales, and support teams to drive product activation & adoption initiatives. You will also collaborate with these teams to synthesize the value proposition and brand positioning. We are looking for someone who can write but also knows how to get the word out in different formats.

How can we describe the profile?
It’s a mixed marketing/product role with great solid Inbound knowledge & communication experience. Familiarity and an interest in the tech security industry and top-notch English are a MUST.

The Work

  • Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and target personas needs
  • Work across teams to plan new product features and capabilities launches
  • Help define market positioning, messaging, and narrative initiatives
  • Produce all web-related and external landing pages copy elements
  • Maintain and update all external Prey directories pages (G2, capterra, etc)
  • Collaborate with the Product team to drive product adoption for new and existing features through strategic communication campaigns
  • Support the Sales team to produce and maintain a library of sales enablement collateral (one-pagers, webinars, product demos, pitch decks, product uses cases, testimonials). Do what it takes to make it easier for them to sell and upsell.
  • Collect feedback from customers and product/support teams on resources that will support Prey market positioning & content marketing efforts.
  • Assist content & comms team in the development of compelling content (blogs, webinars, emails, case studies, educational content) that drives demand generation programs
  • Lead any email marketing campaigns.

Qualifications and requirements

The Skills We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience working in digital marketing roles
  • Experience working for startup companies whether in-house or through agencies
  • Flawless English and Spanish writing/speaking skills
  • Experience with content creation for blogs, press, emailing, landing pages.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude
  • Experience with Inbound Marketing
  • Passion and a strong understanding of the tech industry
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale marketing strategies
  • Responsible for personal time management to meet personal, and global goals

Desirable skills

Extra Points for the following:

  • Experience in product marketing roles
  • Experience working for tech/security companies
  • Communications related background
  • Experience with marketing tools such as ActiveCampaign, Google analytics, Wordpress, and Intercom /or similar alternatives/, such as Hubspot, Drip, Drift, etc
  • Experience in audio-video projects
