Join a fast-paced, global, and multidisciplinary design team that researches, designs, and delivers awesome hardware and software solutions for the industrial IoT as part of Honeywell's Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS) group. SPS creates solutions serving more than 500 million workers worldwide in the energy, construction, first responder, transportation & logistics, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Job functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive research strategies to unveil user needs or solve a specific customer problem.
  • Conduct generative research activities to collect key insights across multiple touchpoints.
  • Influence the design of future offerings by formulating and testing hypotheses to evaluate desirability, business viability and tech feasibility.
  • Deliver quick concept prototypes (flow diagrams, sketches, wireframes, mockups) based on research insights.
  • Facilitate innovation workshops with cross-functional stakeholders and customers.
  • Contribute to the scoping, planning, and tracking of assigned projects.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design, interaction design, human factors or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in UX, strategic design or innovation consulting.
  • Portfolio of research projects, design concepts and/or commercialized products that demonstrate your contribution to develop innovative offerings from ideation through launch.
  • Advanced English level, with fluency for conducting interviews and writing research reports.
  • Availability to travel locally and abroad

Desirable skills

  • Experience with design research, ethnography and human-centered design
  • A passion for innovation methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Business Model Innovation), emerging technologies and concept envisioning.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize quantitative/qualitative data complex data from multiple sources in a compelling manner (e.g. using UX methods like journey mapping, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design, etc.)
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques (e.g., observation, contextual inquiries, structured interviews, time & motion studies, surveys, benchmarking, cardsorting, cognitive walkthroughs, usability/heuristic evaluation, etc.)
  • Proficiency with UX Research tools (e.g., Miro, Mural, Survey Monkey, Optimal Workshop, User Zoom, statistical analysis or data mining software)
