Merapar is a European Software/Technology consultancy company that specializes in cloud (AWS and GCP) , video and audio platforms and utilities that now also has an office in Chile serves the Americas market. We work in small agile teams and help global video power houses such as BBC, NBC Universal, Liberty Global, Discovery to get innovations to the market.

The senior Frontend engineer will work with a team based in the UK that works on video platforms and monitoring solutions for utility companies.

You'll be working from home every day but we just meet once a week to work during the morning and then have lunch

Job functions

  • Be part of an international scrum team that implements new features in a cloud playout system
  • Design and implement UIs with React and Next.js in typescript
  • Occasionally also implement some backend code in Python

Qualifications and requirements

  • Good level in English. The interviews will be in English!
  • At least 8 years' experience with Frontend development
  • Extensive programming knowledge in Typescript and Python
  • Extensive experience with React and Next.js
  • Proven record of high-quality delivery and related documentation.
  • Take feature and functional requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, technologist and new technologies, enthusiast, excellent communication
  • Resident in Chile and living in Santiago

Desirable skills

  • Experience with AWS and especially Lambda
