Tolveet is a pioneering technology company transforming the mining and construction aggregates industry through advanced digital solutions. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), we convert data from trucks, conveyors, and other assets into actionable insights that improve operational performance. Our cloud-based SaaS platform provides automated tools for aggregates producers, enabling gate control, load scanning, stockpile volume estimation, and production planning. We modernize the mining sector with rugged, integrated 3D vision systems that function reliably outdoors. This innovative approach supports automation and drives smarter, more efficient processes.
Job Location: Temuco or Villarica, Chile

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complete 3D vision systems, integrating LiDAR units, stereo cameras, industrial-grade PCs, and power supplies within robust aluminum enclosures designed for harsh industrial conditions.
  • Perform wiring tasks including terminating, soldering, and routing of both shielded and unshielded cable harnesses, ensuring high-quality electrical connections.
  • Carry out mechanical preparation steps such as deburring aluminum components, mounting structures, and sealing IP (Ingress Protection)-rated connectors to maintain system durability.
  • Flash firmware and embedded software onto microcontrollers, single-board computers (SBCs), and industrial PCs to enable device functionality.
  • Conduct initial functional and calibration testing of integrated sensor systems to verify performance standards prior to shipment.
  • Adhere strictly to a comprehensive, detailed 300-page build and quality assurance (QA) manual to maintain production consistency and standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, collaborating on the evolution and enhancement of assembly standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 0 to 2 years professional experience in hardware assembly roles, including internships, laboratory work, or early-career positions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in assembling electro-mechanical systems using hand tools like screwdrivers, torque drivers, crimpers, and soldering irons.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documentation such as wiring schematics, assembly diagrams, and build instructions accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong adherence to structured processes, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on approach and comfort handling sensors, circuit boards, enclosures, and small precision tools.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to flash devices and execute fundamental system tests.
We seek candidates who are eager to contribute to building next-generation industrial sensing technology in a dynamic startup environment. Strong communication skills and the drive to learn and improve are essential for success.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience or familiarity with embedded hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or Intel NUC.
  • Exposure to 3D vision sensors including LiDAR and industrial cameras.
  • Understanding of IP-rated enclosure design principles and cable sealing techniques to ensure hardware resilience.
  • Interest in startup culture, hardware product development, and creating robust technology solutions for challenging industrial settings.
  • Strong documentation habits and willingness to contribute to refining technical build processes.
