Job functions

As a Senior Product Owner at Firme, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to digitalize the processes of prominent Chilean institutions. This role involves handling critical data and information, ensuring the safekeeping and integrity of records of individuals and companies.

The position reports directly to the Commercial Department while adhering to the technology guidelines defined by the company's CTO.

  1. Strategic Planning and Vision:
    • Lead the development and implementation of product strategies aligned with the company’s vision and the specific needs of Chilean institutions.
    • Continuously assess the digital landscape to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the main point of contact for internal teams (developers) and external stakeholders, including government agencies and partners.
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and communicate the product vision and roadmap.
  3. Product Development Oversight:
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, design, data security) to ensure timely and quality delivery of product features.
  4. Data Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure strict adherence to data security protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Regularly review and update processes to maintain the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
  5. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management on product progress and performance.
  6. Team Leadership and Mentoring:
    • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Promote collaboration, innovation, and a customer-centric approach within the team.

Qualifications and requirements


Qualifications and Skills

  1. Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Product Owner, with a proven track record of capturing requirements from external and internal clients.
    • Demonstrated experience in interacting effectively with developers and engineers.
  2. Scrum and Agile Methodology:
    • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
    • Experience in applying Agile principles in a dynamic work environment.
  3. Product Development Expertise:
    • Working knowledge of product development architecture.
    • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
  4. Analytical Skills:
    • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools to drive product strategy and decision-making.
  5. User-Centered Design:
    • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles to enhance product usability and experience.
  6. Communication:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and product vision to a variety of audiences.
  7. Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Ability to work effectively with large, cross-functional teams.
    • Strong team spirit and proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  8. Quality Standards:
    • Understanding of design and development quality standards to ensure product excellence.


Requirements

  1. Educational Background:
    • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Additional certifications in Product Management, Agile, or Scrum methodologies are a plus.
  2. Technical Proficiency:
    • Technical background with knowledge of software development, web technologies, and understanding of the technical challenges faced by development teams.
  3. Organizational Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  4. Agile Familiarity:
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is highly desirable.
  5. Leadership:
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive product vision, encourage innovation, and lead a team towards success.
