Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to maintain and enhance software quality. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Executing manual test cases for newly developed features as well as regression tests to ensure ongoing software stability.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software bugs and issues using established tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Collaborating with developers to thoroughly understand product features and underlying technical implementations.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of test plans and test cases alongside the QA team.
  • Participating actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews to align QA efforts with development timelines.
  • Assisting in the setup and maintenance of testing environments to support efficient QA workflows.
  • Gradually learning and supporting automated testing initiatives to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a foundational knowledge and passion for software quality assurance. The ideal candidate should possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Some practical exposure to software testing environments, which may include academic projects or internships.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with testing and QA tools, and a general understanding of QA best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and scripting languages, which is beneficial for testing web-based applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • C1-C2 English level proficiency.

Nice to Have

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will be advantageous for this role:
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, or bug tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Exposure to API testing or mobile application testing to broaden testing scope.
  • Understanding of automation testing frameworks and basic programming knowledge to support automation efforts.
