Applied AI Engineer in BuildWithin

The Applied AI team at BuildWithin is developing advanced AI systems that power workforce platforms for governments, enterprises, and training providers. We’re looking for exceptional full-stack engineers who thrive on solving complex technical problems, working with cutting-edge AI, and deploying production-grade systems at scale. You’ll design and implement agentic AI architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and multi-step orchestration frameworks that autonomously process data, make decisions, and interact with multiple systems.

• Knowledge of LangSmith and LangGraph
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years building and deploying AI-driven applications in production.
• Proven track record of architecting and operating production-grade LLM systems, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and orchestration at scale.
• Deep experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases (Qdrant), embeddings, and context/memory management strategies.
• Advanced knowledge of agentic AI architectures—multi-step workflows, multi-agent coordination, tool use, self-correction loops, and human-in-the-loop design.
