Job functions

You'll be responsible for developing the Haystack News app on iOS and tvOS devices, and helping us migrate to the latest iOS technologies (SwiftUI/Combine).

  • Build engaging features to improve the user experience in our flagship News streaming app
  • Apply the latest trends in ios development based on SwiftUI and Combine to create engaging experiences
  • Build the foundational technologies that empower all mobile teams by joining the App Platforms team
  • Design focused development taking care of tech debt and ensuring new code being written as per current and agreed upon design patterns
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate existing technologies (APIs) into a mobile application

Qualifications and requirements

  • Strong written and spoken English is a must!
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of related professional work experience
  • Strong software engineering skills with expertise in Objective C and/or Swift
  • Expertise in object oriented design and usage of current design on platform
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills
