The clients of Blankfactor are mostly long-term partner companies from the fintech industry, based in the US and Canada. The projects that we work on are mostly in the financial industry: mobile apps, applications for payments, financial transactions, banking systems etc. We work for almost every project with Scrum methodology. We have a broad diversity of technical teams within the company - Back-end, Front-end and Full-stack teams, working with technologies, such as Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, etc. Along with our teams of developers, we also have a QA and Data Engineering teams, all dedicated to engineer the future in Blankfactor.

Job functions

  • Translate business requirements and use cases into functional Android/iOS applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable apps for Android/ iOS devices using a single codebase.
  • Write readable and clear code using Dart that will be extensively documented for future use and upgrades.
  • Review, test, and verify code for adherence to quality and security standards.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Assist in the maintenance of code quality and organization.
  • Work with the development team to define and implement architecture direction.
  • Assist in the design and enforcement of test-driven development using automated unit and integration testing.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to team members.

Qualifications and requirements

  • 5+ years of overall experience developing software applications
  • Solid experience analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions using Android/iOS
  • In-depth understanding of frontend languages like HTML, CSS3, Flutter, and JavaScript.
  • In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming languages like Java and C++.
  • Familiarity using version control tools like Git and Subversion. and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code, etc.
  • Follow Agile methodology and have experience with conducting code reviews
  • Experience with high-availability online transaction processing
  • Experience with defining and enforcing coding standards
  • Analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • In-depth understanding of the entire software development lifecycle
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient English, both in written and verbal communication
