UX Designer, Mobile in Voodle, Inc.

Closed job - No longer receiving applicants

We started voodle in late 2019, before the worldwide COVID pandemic had accelerated what we already felt was coming--a dramatic disruption in how people work and collaborate using mobile devices and asynchronous short-video. We spent 2020 organizing ourselves as a fully remote team, shipping our mvp app on web/ios/android, and listening to thousands of users and their early-product feedback. Now armed with a seed round of $6m and our core team of 15, we are on a mission to transform how diverse teams collaborate and get work done. We are searching for product experience team members that have a passion for our mission and demonstrated excellence in skill areas related to product management and user experience craft. We will constitute our team with a mix of diverse background experiences and prior domain expertise and would like to hear from English proficient, LATAM based talent.

UX Designer - Mobile

As our UX Designer you will focus on designing user flows from wire-frame to pixel-perfection for our native iOS and Android apps. Our application is designed to be adopted as a "consumer experience" but is targeted at business users, so the design challenges of the UX are a mix of understanding how a "consumer" would approach the first time use, how they would invite/catalyze their colleagues/team to join them in trying the app, and over a period of time, how the core functionality of Voodle will become "sticky" and a frequent use-case for the teams' collaboration and communication. Highly usable/compelling UI that "converts" through measured user engagement is the goal.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Demonstrated prior success with a portfolio of mobile app design/development experience for "consumer" apps on iOS / Android. Your work has shipped and validated by activated, happy, engaged users!
  • An ability to work with product managers and engineers and our customers to identify requirements and turn those into UX wireframes that can be used to advance the understanding of product design direction
  • An understanding of how your UX design work will have an impact on data-models, UI frameworks, and development complexity by your peers in the product team
  • An understanding of data oriented validation of user experiences through A/B testing and target driven design outcomes
  • English language spoken/written and ability to work well remotely with a largely USA based development team

Desirable skills

  • Prior experience designing applications or workflows for team communication or collaboration
  • Front-end development experience coding for web or native mobile frameworks
