Responsibilities

  • Host Strategic Interviews: Lead engaging and insightful interviews with industry experts such as CMOs, agency owners, startup founders, and marketing leaders. Discussions will focus on topics including technology, growth strategies, paid media, branding, and the creative process.
  • Guest Targeting & Strategy: Identify and secure high-value podcast guests who provide meaningful insights and represent opportunities for Penji in terms of partnerships, sales, or affiliate relationships.
  • Brand Positioning: Seamlessly integrate references to Penji’s services in every episode, positioning our creative solutions as scalable answers to marketing and design challenges encountered by guests and listeners.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain and nurture relationships with podcast guests post-interview, converting conversations into long-term partnerships, affiliate deals, referrals, or client engagements.
  • Content Syndication: Collaborate with editors and marketing teams to repurpose podcast content into various formats such as video clips, quote graphics, articles, and advertisements to maximize reach across digital platforms.
  • Campaign Collaboration: Align podcast publishing schedule and guest interviews with Penji’s marketing and sales campaigns, including product launches and seasonal initiatives, to amplify impact.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with advertising trends, agency developments, SaaS product launches, and innovations in design to craft relevant questions and position Penji as a thought leader.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with outreach and partnership teams to coordinate podcast guests with other Penji projects such as webinars, guest blog posts, and co-branded campaigns.
  • Innovation and Experimentation: Continuously explore and test new podcast formats, guest engagement strategies, and promotion techniques to enhance audience reach and conversion rates.

Job Description and Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Podcast Host with experience in the advertising and marketing sectors. The ideal candidate is not only a confident and engaging interviewer but also possesses a strong understanding of digital marketing, SaaS ecosystems, and creative agency operations. You should be adept at identifying high-profile guests and weaving Penji's brand message subtly and effectively throughout each episode.
In addition to excellent communication and interviewing skills, you should have a strategic mindset focused on content-driven lead generation and partnership building. Experience with podcast performance analytics, content repurposing, and cross-channel promotion is essential. You must be highly organized to collaborate across departments and agile enough to experiment with new content and promotional approaches.
Soft skills such as relationship management, strategic thinking, adaptability, and creativity are critical to succeed in this role. A passion for staying abreast of industry trends and a commitment to continuous improvement will be highly valued.
Prior experience hosting or producing podcasts related to marketing, technology, or creative industries is preferable. Familiarity with current digital marketing tools and platforms will be advantageous.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience in SaaS marketing, paid media campaigns, or agency leadership roles will enhance your ability to connect with guests and create highly relevant content. Skills in multimedia content editing (audio and video) and familiarity with distribution platforms will be beneficial for content syndication efforts.
Knowledge of affiliate marketing, CRM tools, and partnership development strategies will help in transitioning podcast engagements into business growth opportunities. Fluency in scripting and storytelling techniques can elevate the podcast’s quality and listener engagement.
An existing network within marketing agencies, SaaS firms, or media buying circles is a valuable asset that will accelerate guest acquisition and collaboration opportunities.
