We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team at HireLATAM. The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting operations and will be ultimately responsible for the client satisfaction. He/she will work closely with the President and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business. He/she will be the go-to person for the accounting team when they have questions, and play a pivotal role in developing a high-output team through performance management, goal setting, coaching, and leading.

Key Performance Outcomes (3-7)

  • 70+ NPS and 4.8+ Google Rating: Achieve a Net Promoter Score of 70 or higher as measured by customer satisfaction survey and a google review rating of 4.8 stars or higher.
  • 90%+ staff retention and 30 days to fill positions: Fill all open positions within an average of 30 days from vacancy and achieve a staff retention rate of 90% or higher.

Key Responsibilities (8-12):

  • Lead, Manage, and Accountability: Oversee the accounting team, provide support, and remove roadblocks, lead weekly team meetings, hold weekly 1:1s with direct reports, lead team member goal setting, KPIs, and performance reviews.
  • Recruitment and Team Development: Recruit, hire, and train team members alongside the President. Provide leadership and mentorship, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Client Satisfaction: Work closely with the accounting team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Systems & Process Development: Create systems, processes, and automations to streamline and standardize the operations and improve efficiency. Oversee the creation and updating of SOPs and playbooks.
  • Quality Control: Manage the internal “engine”, ensuring that client tasks at a firm-level are well-planned, prioritized, are meeting their deadlines, and are completed at the highest level of quality
  • Develop our client advisory services around driving client growth with SMART goal setting and accountability, monthly financial reviews from the perspective of a CFO, develop budgets, projections, cash flow forecasts, and KPIs to facilitate clients growth.

Qualifications and requirements

  • 3+ years of operations experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team (everything from hiring and onboarding, to performance reviews)
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a multi-client accounting environment
  • Excellent level of English (both written and spoken)
  • A deep understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Proven ability of improving systems, processes, and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to client satisfaction
  • CPA or MBA preferred
