Job functions

Facilitate sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Ensures work is appropriately balanced across team members and that all work is captured within the backlog.
Reviews and manages backlog items to ensure it’s being groomed and prioritized.
Applies innovative and creative thinking to solve problems and get things done.
Brings a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs.
Maintains and updates process metrics and artifacts to ensure accurate and transparent communications to Product Owner and key stakeholders.
Creates burn-down charts to measure team output over time.
Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the team.
Observes and engages with individual team members to identify opportunities to improve Agile performance.
Influences across the team to drive results.
Provides constructive feedback to team members to help drive Agile maturity.
Models’ behaviors to support the organization’s transformation to a new way of working.
Actively creates and maintains the culture within the team based on the organization and Agile leadership behaviors.

Qualifications and requirements

Experience as a Scrum Master OR Project Management Professional
3+ years scrum master and/or project management experience
Experience working with or in Agile teams and understanding of Agile practices
Ability to brainstorm with team members on solutions to address challenges and roadblocks
A continuous improvement mind-set and dedication to finding new ways of working
Ability to influence behavior without having formal organizational hierarchy
Excellent communications and people-interaction skills; ability to build collaborative network connections
Commitment to organization’s new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes.
Demonstrate and educate as a deep subject matter expert (SME) in scrum process and tools
Experience communicating effectively with high levels of management
Strong experience with JIRA as the primary tool for agile development.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory)
