We are looking for a highly-skilled, professional technical manager to join our dynamic and growing team. In this position, you will oversee all technical matters companywide and manage our technical support team.

Responsibilities

Work with development teams and clients to ideate software solutions
Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
Provide guidance and insight to upper management and procure buy-in
Report progress, including any changes made to plans and production
Contribute to product design and establishment of requirements
Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of projects
Deliver products consistently, on time, and on budget
Oversee user testing and report results—adjust requirements as needed
Work closely with project manager and scrum manager during all phases of the development lifecycle
Write effective and scalable code
Implement security and data protection solutions
Review all work produced by the development team
Ensure code produced meets company standards
Contribute to the research about new technologies to implement with our customers

Experience

This is a position that requires solid coding knowledge, experience designing and architecting systems. No prior experience is required in managing teams but it's required to have solid leadership skills.

8+ years of experience in Software Development
3+ years of proven experience as a Tech Lead or Architect.
Familiarity with common stacks in different environments
Solid working knowledge of multiple front-end technologies and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
Solid working knowledge in multiple backend languages (e.g. Java, Python, JS)
Solid knowledge in coding best practices
Experience working with frontend frameworks (Angular or React) framework
Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL,PostgreSQL) and no-sql (e.g. Redis, Mongodb)
Experience designing cloud and software architectures
Experience working with cloud technologies like AWS or similar
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Exceptional communication and reporting skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
