We’re looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Lima, Peru. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You’ll also act as the main point of contact with EY for monthly close activities and annual audits.

Responsabilities

Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Oversee accounts receivable: invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
Manage accounts payable: vendor invoices, timely payments, and issue resolution.
Perform bank reconciliations and verify discrepancies.
Support payroll and payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (NIIF/IFRS), regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with EY for monthly close, tax filings, and annual audits.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify process improvements.
Identify and implement efficiency improvements in accounting operations.
Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4) and tech industry experience.
Strong understanding of NIIF (IFRS) and reporting processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) and MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Advanced English level (C1/C2) – you will be working in English with US-based teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
