Full-Stack Engineer in TECLA

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full-Stack Engineer with a strong product mindset to join our fully remote team. In this role, the engineer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing Atlassian Cloud applications. You won't just be writing code; you will be actively involved in shaping the product, understanding user needs, and contributing ideas to improve the user experience and business outcomes. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with other engineers in a dynamic environment.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality features for the Atlassian Cloud application using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Build intuitive and effective user interfaces using Atlassian's Design System and Forge UI components (UI Kit / Custom UI).
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to product strategy.
• Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Engage with the 'why' behind features, proactively suggesting improvements and alternative approaches based on user needs and technical feasibility.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from conception through to deployment and monitoring.
• Stay up-to-date with Atlassian Forge platform updates, TypeScript, React, and relevant web technologies.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in Full-Stack JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Familiarity with Node.js and React in a production environment.
• Basic experience with Frontend/Backend testing tools and debugging practices.
• Experience and willingness to use AI tools to assist development workflow.
• Demonstrable product mindset: interest in user experience, business goals, and contributing to product decisions beyond just implementation.
• Exposure to Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for effective team communication.
• Based in Latin America with a reliable internet connection suitable for remote work.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing applications for the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence) using Forge or Connect.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Design System and @atlaskit components.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Experience working effectively across different time zones.
