Head of Technology (IT) in ZYGHT HSE Software

At Vela Sustainability Technologies (VST), we propel environmental stewardship, workplace safety, and operational excellence across industries through purpose-built SaaS solutions. As we consolidate and scale software companies to accelerate a global transition toward a more resilient and regenerative economy, you will lead the technology for a core business unit within a growing, international group. You will guide the architecture and platform evolution of a mission-critical SaaS offering used by customers in construction, energy, manufacturing, and other highly regulated sectors. This role combines strategic technology leadership with hands-on execution to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant software that supports sustainable operations at scale.

We are seeking an accomplished technology leader with a deep background in SaaS development, cloud architecture, and people leadership. You will shape the technology strategy for a mission-critical platform that supports environmental management, workplace safety, and operational efficiency in regulated industries.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field; 8+ years of software engineering experience; 3+ years in technical leadership roles; proven track record delivering and scaling SaaS solutions in cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure); strong experience with modern software development practices, APIs, system integrations, and DevOps culture; bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken); outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have: experience with regulatory compliance regimes, data protection standards, and complex integrations in international contexts; familiarity with data analytics, security operations, and production-grade observability.
