What You'll Do

Design, implement, and maintain GraphQL schemas and resolvers using HotChocolate v15 on ASP .NET Core 8.
Create and optimize data access logic with Entity Framework Core 8, ensuring efficient performance on Azure SQL Database.
Develop microservices and Azure Functions for specific tasks such as notifications and scheduled processes.
Instrument and analyze metrics and logs using Azure Application Insights to diagnose and resolve production issues.
Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, collaborating with the DevOps Engineer to ensure stable build, test, and release cycles.
Implement backend Feature Flags to enable or disable functionality based on client segments (Alpha, Beta, Prod).
Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and code reviews to maintain quality and enforce best practices.
Collaborate with the Product Manager and frontend team to define GraphQL contracts, ensuring backend services meet the requirements of the React-based frontend shell.
Estimate development tasks with appropriate effort in days, refine user stories, and resolve technical blockers related to infrastructure or external dependencies.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience with ASP .NET Core (preferably version 8).
Proven expertise in Entity Framework Core 8, including entity modeling, migrations, and query optimization.
Advanced knowledge of GraphQL in the .NET ecosystem using HotChocolate v15, including schema design, resolvers, and authorization mechanisms.
Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments such as App Services, Azure SQL Database, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and Azure Functions.
Strong capability to configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps encompassing build, test automation, and release deployment.
Proficient use of Azure Application Insights for logging, telemetry creation, custom traces, and exception handling.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), Jira for backlog and issue management, and Tempo for time tracking.
Ability to design and implement backend Feature Flags to control feature exposure for different client categories.
Strong command of C# and solid understanding and application of object-oriented design principles and architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture and CQRS.
Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like xUnit or NUnit with a focus on maintaining high test coverage.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English for effective written and verbal communication with international stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience migrating or modernizing legacy applications to .NET 8 and/or GraphQL.
Knowledge of trunk-based development and advanced Git branching and merging strategies.
Familiarity with additional Azure DevOps services including Artifacts, Boards, and Test Plans.
Experience with microservices architectures and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of REST API design principles to complement the GraphQL ecosystem.
Relevant Azure certifications like Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
Skills to optimize relational database performance on Azure SQL (indexing, partitioning, etc.).
Familiarity with API testing and automation tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
Experience working in high-availability, auto-scaling environments.
