This is a complex Big Data problem, we process and store huge volumes of data on hundreds of servers on the Cloud. We continuously research and develop new algorithms, and test the latest Cloud services made available by AWS, Google, etc.

Profile, Role and Mandatory Requirements

We are looking for Computer Science Engineering students (undergraduate or graduate) to work as part time or full time Data Engineers, helping our technology teams produce high quality software using state of the art methodologies.

New Data Engineers will be coached by senior members of our technology team and will form part of our agile development organization (SCRUM). The role will include learning and working on one or more of these tasks:
- Development of efficient algorithms to transcribe and interpret airline fares
- Optimization of cloud servers for massive parallel data processing
- Optimization of databases on the Cloud
- Using Big Data techniques in high performance, near real time computations
- Machine Learning and business rule based task automation
- Research and testing of new tools and methodologies for various applications
- etc.

Mandatory requirements

  • Computer Science Engineering undergraduate (near completion or completed) or graduate student
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Passion for programming, problem solving and solution design
  • Zero to one year work experience

Optional requirements

One or more of the following skills may add to your score and compensation:

  • Experience using Machine Learning in automation or support of business decisions
  • Experience using Big Data techniques to extract or infer patterns and behaviors
  • Experience using AWS, Google Compute Cloud, Azure or similar
  • Spoken English
