PropertySimple is an easy-to-use online marketing, lead generation, and CRM platform for real estate agents in the USA. Our software makes it possible for agents to manage all aspects of their online marketing and lead management as well as for consumers to shop for houses on our portal. We’ve had great success so far and are continuously improving our product and our team for even bigger results.
PropertySimple began as the Chilean Startup Propiedad Facil during round one of Startup Chile then later expanded to the US market. Because of this history, our core team - comprising Chilean nationals and expats - is still in Santiago, Chile.

Job functions

You will join the product team in developing high-priority and high-quality features in Ruby on Rails working closely with front and back end developers, and designers. You will be responsible for features from start to finish ensuring that your code follows best practices and organizing your own workload so that features are delivered in a timely manner. Features you develop will directly impact our clients and our internal team.
Location
You will work remotely but it is preferred that you’re located in or near Santiago, Chile so you are able to attend in-person team events.
If you're not in Chile, please consider you'll need to be available during working hours. We have a daily standup meeting where all members of the product team must be present at 10am Santiago, Chile time and our day ends at 6pm.

Qualifications and requirements

In our company we value autonomous and proactive people. You should be able to organize your own workload to meet deadlines without external pressure and you should be motivated to write quality code.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (in lieu of a degree, additional work experience or trade school degree may be considered), at least 2 year of relevant professional experience with Ruby on Rails development (more if no degree), and is curious to continue learning new skills.

  • And must have general experience in web development
Strong English communication skills are essential. You will need to explain technical concepts to non-technical people and work proficiently with an English-speaking team.

Desirable skills

Though not required, it is beneficial if you have experience working with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn APIs, map APIs.
Also a plus is knowledge of the following technologies and fields: React, Next.js, Apollo, Python, Django framework, dev-ops.
