Job functions

We are searching for an accountable, multitalented data engineer to facilitate the operations of our data scientists. The data engineer will be responsible for employing machine learning techniques to create and sustain structures that allow for the analysis of data while remaining familiar with dominant programming and deployment strategies in the field. During various aspects of this process, you should collaborate with coworkers to ensure that your approach meets the needs of each project.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design and build data pipelines to efficiently ingest data from multiple sources and intelligently deal with the complexities of the data
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support continuing increases in data volume, diversity, and complexity
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including optimizing data delivery and automating manual processes
  • Support the assembling of large, complex sets of data
  • Work with stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs and process improvement

Qualifications and requirements

What You Need for this Position

  • AWS Glue and Spark experience required
  • Experience with Redshift, Athena, MySQL, Bigquery, and standard Postgress
  • Knowledge of Python, Jupyter, and AWS Lambda
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to disseminate data into usable insights
  • Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
