BuildWithin is a startup founded by Chilean-American tech entrepreneur Ximena Hartsock, who founded the multinational software company Phone2Action (now Capitol Canary), acquired in 2019.
BuildWithin is Ximena’s new tech startup, a SaaS company based in Washington DC, currently in stealth mode and preparing to launch in August of 2022.
You will joining a remarkable team of software developers, product owners and UX/UI designers and a vibrant startup community in the Washington Metro/Northern Virginia ecosystem. Arlington and VA are home of the new headquarters of Amazon and Fairfax/Loudoun locates the largest number of data centers in the US. We are looking for a Front-End Software Engineer who enjoys combining the art of web design with the art of programming. The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer with a track record of building and deploying enterprise web applications. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and want to be part of an outstanding team. We use a modern front-end tech stack consisting of NextJS/React, TypeScript, and Styled Components. As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will help build and maintain our TypeScript React component library, which is published as an NPM package using Storybook, and then integrated to all BuildWithin products.
Day-to-day work will consist of front-end web development for both the client-facing and consumer-facing components of the BuildWithin platform. The main language is TypeScript (and TSX), leveraging Node, React, and NextJS. At BuildWithin, Front-End Software Engineers routinely collaborate with designers to develop beautiful user interfaces that look great and run smoothly. You will also work on integrating and designing APIs that are optimized for front-end applications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
