Front-end Engineer in Bookairfreight

At Bookairfreight we combine world class customer service with technology to solve a huge pain point for small e-commerce business owners - international shipping! If you can believe it, working with suppliers to move goods from the factory where they are manufactured to warehouses in different countries is super low tech - I'm talking multiple phone calls, emails, Excel spreadsheets, and Faxes (yes, you read that correctly). Our platform enables instant shipping quotes and digitized shipment management and tracking. Customers save days of time spent waiting for a quote and double-digit percentage on shipping fees.

• Getting exposure to engineering best practices (the role works directly with our CTO, who has a Silicon Valley background including several years at Dropbox) - including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Working with a team to accomplish a large task. You'll be working with our CTO and another developer and designer on our customer platform, internal administrative platform, and third party integrations. Great opportunity to own large code surfaces.

Your primary workflow will be taking responsive designs from Figma and implementing them in Javascript, HTML, and CSS, using the React framework. We value strong communication skills, and being self-motivated. This means being able to make deadlines and communicating effectively with design, and receiving constant feedback from technical leadership.

Experience with remote teams is a huge plus - Bookairfreight is fully remote, and will always be fully remote.

You will also not be asked to move to an office - we are remote at our core. So long as work gets done, working hours are flexible.
