The Hidden Talents Initiative is financed through the World Bank’s Youth Innovation Fund and piloted in Argentina in partnership with two NGOs, Fundación Empujar and Tabiya. The project brings together development practitioners, youth employment experts, and technologists to empower vulnerable youth by making their skills visible and connecting them to formal work opportunities. As part of this small, dynamic, and highly collaborative team, you’ll work closely with both local and international partners, contributing to a solution that could scale across Latin America.

Role and Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Full-Stack Developer, you will:
Lead the Spanish localization of Compass, Tabiya’s AI-powered skills discovery tool
Ensure natural conversational flows in Argentine Spanish
Implement a mobile-first design to maximize accessibility
Integrate Compass into Fundación Empujar’s employment programs and systems
Collaborate closely with Tabiya’s global dev team and local stakeholders
Uphold data privacy, inclusivity, and open-source standards Your success will be measured by the successful adaptation, usability, and deployment of Compass for Spanish-speaking youth in Argentina.
Required Skills
Native or professional fluency in Spanish and strong proficiency in English
Solid track record in developing multilingual applications
Strong knowledge of React (Material UI), TypeScript/JavaScript with mobile-responsive design
Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, REST APIs, Pydantic, Pytest) and MongoDB/NoSQL
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development
Understanding of conversational AI/chatbot principles
Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently in agile, resource-constrained environments
Desirable Skills and Attributes
Experience with natural language processing and LLM-based applications
Knowledge of Latin American digital inclusion challenges
Familiarity with Argentine labor market or youth employment programs
Previous experience with NGOs, social impact projects, or international development organizations
Knowledge of workforce development or skills recognition systems
