Job functions

SecZetta is adding a Full Stack Engineer to our team to bring familiarity working with all aspects of the technology that drives our product.

Our ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, API design and implementation, relational and NoSQL databases, back end languages, and infrastructure services. You’ll understand how to deliver a desired user experience through all these layers, and optimally build out the necessary architecture. You’ll be able to identify root cause of issues throughout the stack, and collaborate with domain owners to find the best resolutions.

Objectives of this Role

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
  • Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
  • Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, deployment, and operation
  • Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
  • Work primarily in Ruby, React, and JavaScript
  • Engage with inspiring designers and front end engineers, and collaborate with leading back end engineers as we create reliable APIs
  • Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences

Qualifications and requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology
  • 3+ years of experience building large-scale software applications
  • Experience building web applications
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing in Ruby, React, and Javascript
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills
  • Unit/integration testing experience

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and making optimizations throughout the stack from infrastructure to UI
  • Experience identifying reliability concerns and implementing improvements to improve reliability
